Multi Gage provides a "Guess Mode" method for measuring features. This allows you simply begin measuring features while Multi Gage guesses the feature type based upon the hits taken.
For example: One hit would be solved as a point since this is the only feature type that can be created from a single hit. Two hits would be solved as a line. As additional hits are taken the feature type would change to the most likely solution.
To use Guess Mode:
Start measuring the needed feature.
