Translators,
Numerous changes and additions have been made in the source documentation since its initial upload back in June of 2003. For those who are just beginning to translate, you should always use this latest TM. You should also use this if you want you TMs and localized files to be more up to date.

As before, here are the files:

* RTFs.zip contains all the RTF files. These are the files that need to be localized using Trados. These RTF files were generated from an automatic Doc-to-Help processes from our Help authoring software. You can leverage much of this using our existing 3.5 translation memory (from: ftp://ftp.wilcoxassoc.com/Languages/v35TMs/ ) or your latest TM that you've been already using. I did an Analysis using Trados on this update and came up with around 66% of this update being leveragable with the original 3.5 translation memory.

* Images.zip contains the image files (in .gif format) that will be used for this project. While many of the image files are removed from the non-English versions of the documentation, these are in English and will need to be localized if they aren't already. Follow this link to see if a corresponding localized image file exists (in .BMP format) from the previous version of PC-DMIS:
ftp://ftp.wilcoxassoc.com/Languages/v35Bitmaps/ (Note: These will have the same image name, but with a .bmp extension)

Keep in mind that even though you may find already localized corresponding bitmap files from the previous version, some of these may need to be updated to match version 3.6. Some files will merely require that you re-take a screenshot using the already localized UI with the latest resources. Other files may require you to add text to an existing image file. If you have to add text, you can probably do this using applications that allow you to add text on top of images. For example, you might want to consider purchasing something like Techsmith's SnagIt screenshot application.
